As Broydrick & Associates Senior Government Affairs Counsel, Kara Tollett Oakley draws on more than twenty years of experience in legislative and regulatory arenas at the federal, state, and local levels.
Kara has devoted much of her career to child health care and health care financing issues. Her work has brought success to some of our largest clients, including securing Congressional funding for a children’s research institute and two fledgling child advocacy centers. Most recently, Kara worked to increase appropriations for children’s hospitals graduate medical education.
In conjunction with her work on children’s health initiatives, Kara has developed expertise in the intricacies of the military healthcare system. An attorney, Kara’s legal training and experience serve her well in crafting solutions for clients no matter the subject area or complexity of the problem.
Combining her political insight, analytical ability, creativity, and in-depth understanding of issues and government processes into effective advocacy, Kara is an integral part of Broydrick & Associates’ senior leadership team.
Kara graduated from the University of Tennessee and Florida State University College of Law with honors.
