Congress to Ask the VA to Expedite Colon Cancer Test

39 members of Congress on Thursday, June 5th have asked the VA to expedite its review of Cologuard the new noninvasive stool based DNA colon cancer test.

While both FDA and Medicare have approved the test it is currently denied to veterans who receive their care through the VA system.

The goal of Cologuard is to eradicate colon cancer which will happen if the test is widely adopted. Here is a link to the bi-partisan letter.
