Let’s not forget the Kurds

Let’s not forget the Kurds

It appears that the US government is finally giving full backing to the only ally we have (other than Israel) in the Middle East that is willing to fight—the Kurds. The Kurds are the only large ethnic group in the Middle East that in the aftermath of the First World War were left without a country. We have deserted them on several occasions in history. They have the closest thing albeitby no means perfectto democratic governance in the region

They have proven to be an effective fighting force against ISIS and with our air support, munitions, and equipment successfully they have recaptured Sinjar, a Yazidi town .
We should continue our support for the Kurds who are an indigenous fighting force. We should not abandon them again and now the world powers should reward them for their bravery. They have stepped up for all mankind. Let’s not forget them.
